Looking out my window before breakfast, it is cloudy but
dry. I’m hoping we get a solid day of
sunshine, since Thursday is typically one of our biggest days for a vision
clinic. Word of mouth has spread to
friends and families of our clinic visitors that the care that the people are
getting is good and it is indeed free.
We always have to fight the battle of being mistaken for other clinics
that come to town that purport to be free but are really a scam. Once we overcome that hurdle, the floodgates
always open and we see a steady stream of people all day.
Now that the clinic is more
than halfway through, it is already becoming a little bittersweet that the end
is in sight and we will soon be saying our goodbyes once again, doing
inventory, packing up and preparing to make the long journey back home. We are already planning a recruiting for two
teams from Redeemer to come back to Kenya in June of 2015. If you feel that God is calling you to join
